At The Elephants Pyjamas, community means everything to us. That’s why we are proud to support Birmingham Children's hospital charity through our fundraising initiatives, including PJ’s Kindness Club, where donations from selected purchases help make a real difference to sick children and their families.
Every year, Birmingham Children’s Hospital cares for more than 100,000 babies, children and young people from across the UK and beyond, providing specialist treatments, complex surgeries and life-changing care.
As a family-focused boutique built around mums, babies and children, supporting young patients and their families is incredibly close to our hearts. Birmingham Children’s Hospital provides not only world-class medical care, but also emotional support, child-friendly spaces and specialist therapies that help children feel safe, comforted and cared for during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.
We believe every child deserves comfort, kindness and hope — and we are honoured to play a small part in helping the hospital continue its amazing work.
Funds raised by Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity go far beyond what standard NHS funding can provide. Donations help support:
The charity also funds projects designed to make hospital experiences less frightening for children, including sensory spaces, welcoming environments and calming areas that help young patients feel more relaxed and secure.
Even small donations can create meaningful moments for children in hospital.
According to the charity:
£25 could fund bedside music therapy sessions for a child
£50 could provide distraction bags filled with toys and games to help children during treatment and procedures
Every purchase, donation and fundraising effort helps bring comfort, smiles and support to families who need it most.
At The Elephants Pyjamas, selected products form part of PJ’s Kindness Club, where £1 from every sale is donated to support Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
It’s our way of combining beautiful products with meaningful giving helping our customers shop with purpose while supporting children receiving incredible care.

Our next fundraising challenge is the Birmingham Dragon Boat Race on 18th September, where a team of 17 dedicated paddlers will be taking to the water in support of our local hospital charity.
Together, we're aiming to raise an incredible £10,000 to help fund vital projects, equipment, and services that make a real difference to patients and their families.
