A Few of My Current Favourites at The Elephant’s Pyjamas

By Sophie – Baby Photographer & Part of The Elephant’s Pyjamas Team

Working as a baby photographer and behind the scenes on our website shoots means I’m constantly looking at the little details — how fabric moves, how light falls on texture, and which pieces feel effortless rather than over styled.

That’s what I’m always drawn to in children’s clothing: pieces that feel natural, comfortable, and beautifully made without needing to try too hard.

One of my favourite parts of all of this is working alongside my mum and sister. We choose, style, and shoot everything together, and it makes the whole process feel incredibly personal. If we love it, it makes the cut — it’s as simple as that.

This week I’m sharing three of my current favourites, one each day over on Instagram, but I wanted to give a little more context behind why I love them.

🌼 Minnie & Monty White Daisy Dress

The Minnie & Monty White Daisy Puff Sleeve Dress is one of those timeless pieces that instantly stood out to me.

Soft cotton, delicate embroidered daisies, and gentle puff sleeves make it feel classic but still really wearable. From a photography perspective, it moves beautifully — it catches natural light in such a soft, flattering way, which makes it perfect for shoots.

It’s the kind of dress that works just as well for special moments as it does for everyday dressing, which is exactly what I look for when selecting pieces for the website.

🍪 SimplyExtraJordanary Cookies Sweatshirt

This is such a fun contrast to the softer, more traditional pieces — and I love that balance.

The SimplyExtraJordanary Cookies Sweatshirt is relaxed, slightly oversized, and full of personality. It’s the kind of piece that works perfectly for candid, real-life moments where children are just being themselves.

The brand itself is known for bold, minimal, playful design — and that really comes through here. It’s effortless, modern, and easy to wear on repeat.

❤️ Chelsea Peers Chilli Heart Pyjamas

I think everyone has that one thing they keep reaching for… and for me, it’s Chelsea Peers pyjamas.

I actually own eight pairs (and yes, I’ve asked myself if that’s too many… but I stand by it — you can never have too many, right?).

They’re what I always wear on editing days — soft, comfortable, and still feeling put together enough to work in.

The Chilli Heart set is one of my favourites. It’s playful without being too bold, and the fabric has that perfect balance of softness and stretch. My sister (who you’ll see in the photos) loves this set just as much, which makes it feel even more like a shared favourite in our house.

💭 Why Working With My Mum & Sister Matters Most

What makes The Elephant’s Pyjamas special for me is that it’s something we build together.

Pieces chosen, styled, and photographed by us — and that shared eye is what makes it feel so authentic. We all bring something slightly different, but we’re aligned in what we love: thoughtful, wearable, beautiful children’s pieces that feel good in real life.

That’s what I think makes it work.

I’ll be sharing each of these over on Instagram, styled in a natural, unforced way — the kind of pieces that just fit into everyday life.
